Unit Manager within LSS

The LSS housing section is part of the care administration and is responsible for the implementation of all housing decisions according to LSS. Currently, there are 12 unit managers working in the section, and we are now looking for you to become a part of our team!

The section's work is based on the value foundation where we start from the equal value of all, respectful treatment, and the importance of everyone's participation and self-determination. In every meeting with the individual, our approach should be characterized by professional support measures in accordance with LSS legislation, where trust in the individual's own ability for development and responsibility is significant.

We are facing an exciting but also challenging journey of change with an expanded/changed target group where we welcome your thoughts and ideas on how we can develop and find new ways forward!

Job Responsibilities

As a unit manager within LSS, we offer you an exciting, independent, and varied job where good collaboration skills are required both internally and externally. You will work in accordance with legislation, guidelines, and other governing documents as a basis. Your role includes operational and personnel responsibility where you are expected to lead, plan, and develop the operations based on a holistic view of quality, economy, and goal fulfillment. The work also includes outward collaboration in the form of contact with users, relatives, and representatives. You will be part of the section's management group and have close cooperation with unit manager colleagues and the section manager.

The section has also introduced the role of group leader, which supports the unit manager function but also is part of the units' staffing and workgroup. They assist with scheduling, staffing issues, and some other administrative tasks in the units. We also offer central support functions in areas such as finance and HR.

Qualifications

The following is required for the role:

  • University degree from the social work program or another higher education that the employer assesses as relevant for the assignment
  • Experience and knowledge of the target group within LSS and the intentions of LSS legislation
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing
  • Familiarity with computers as a working tool
  • Previous managerial experience
  • Experience of working in a politically governed organization
  • Driving license B

Meritorious Qualifications

  • Experience working as a manager within the LSS operational area
  • Experience in driving change work
  • Documented leadership training

Employment Conditions

The recruitment concerns a permanent full-time position with immediate start according to agreement and a temporary position between 2026-05-01 and 2027-01-31.
